On Monday, May 4th, we will resume normal activities (for the most part).
This message is to announce that SDCGO, OCGO, RCGO, and SBCGO will take a huge step forward towards normal activities. Starting at the end of March, we have all had our lives changed and in many cases severely uprooted. Our staff and volunteers have had to make adjustments in our personal lives and our work for fighting to restore and protect the Second Amendment has turned into a 24/7 hurry-up-and-wait. All events have been cancelled. Many activities have been put on hold. We have had to take a defensive posture when we are normally marching forward.
I am proud of what we have done over the last weeks and the way we have responded as organizations. We made a positive difference.
What this means:
We will get back to as close as a normal schedule as the law will allow. Gun rights are a 24/7 fight and inconsistent hours comes with the territory, but it is even more so when we don’t know what to expect. Our staff and volunteers are going back to normally scheduled meetings and conference calls. We are working towards setting up a calendar of activities, meetings, and seminars. Projects that had to be put on the back-burners will be moved back to the front-and-center for completion (membership card app, questions for Sheriff Bianco, resources for new gun owners, Board expansions, etc). There is an election in November and we need to get back to focusing on the best candidates who deserve our support.
Below is the schedule for all 4 PACs for May. We don’t anticipate that California’s COVID-19 regulations to change enough in May for us to have in-person meetings. We are penciling in regularly scheduled, normal, in-person meetings for June, but we will confirm that by June 1st.
