San Diego County Gun Owners is proud to be a longtime supporter of the 9th Annual Front Sight Charity Shoot supporting the Leukemia and Lymphoma Foundation. We have been there from the very beginning and are excited to support again in 2022!
This year’s event will be held on March 4th through 7th, 2022, at Front Sight Firearms Institute in Pahrump, NV. The cost of the course is just $200, plus a $50 donation to fight leukemia and lymphoma for a total of $250. There is no course fee if you have a membership at Front Sight – just the $50 donation.
Pick a 2 or 4 day course in handgun, rifle, or shotgun! There are courses available for all ages and all skill levels. We have brand new shooters, 11 year old kids, 73 year old grandmothers, law enforcement officers, Navy SEALs, and everything in between!
As we say goodbye to 2021, I thought I would take a moment to reflect on the changes we have seen in the past year.
NotMeSD has helped over 500 women find the right training, purchase and select a firearm, and get their CCW.
Our Second Amendment Celebration Dinner featured nearly 1,000 guests who love and support the Second Amendment! It was an exciting moment to finally be able to celebrate the Second Amendment, 17 months after our originally scheduled date.
SDCGO continues to assist hundreds of applicants each month with their CCWs by holding CCW seminars, reviewing good cause statements, and answering questions about the CCW process. The San Diego Sheriff’s Department now has nearly 6,000 permits issued, over FOUR TIMES the number of permits when SDCGO was created in 2015.
SDCGO Board Members and volunteers hosted nearly 100 tabletops at gun shops! We honored our volunteers by giving away a gun every quarter.
We held over 30 shooting socials, giving new shooters (and experienced ones!) a safe and fun shooting experience!
March Madness featured lots of different training opportunities, including Cover Your ASP Week featuring courses with John Correia from Active Self Protection!
After holding our monthly meetings virtually for over a year, we resumed in-person monthly meetings in May!
Miller v. Becerra (now Miller v. Bonta), the lawsuit challenging California’s “Assault Weapons” ban, was argued before Judge Benitez, and resulted in a very favorable 94-page ruling. A new lawsuit was filed to challenge the City of San Diego’s ban on home-building firearms, and we continued to work on lawsuits against the California Handgun Roster, the 1-in-30 days firearm purchase ban, and the 18-20 age limit ban. SDCGO also submitted a critical Amicus brief in NYSRPA v. Bruen, the New York case about concealed carry, which was referenced in the judge’s decision.
SDCGO led a campaign to issue pro-Second Amendment initiatives in Santee, Oceanside, El Cajon, and more, passed unanimously in all three city councils, condemning anti-gun regulation HR127.
SDCGO led the way in helping Laura Lothian succeed in her campaign for La Mesa City Council!
SDCGO represented YOUR voice in local and national media throughout the year, including interviews on ABC, NBC, CBS, KPBS, The Union Tribune, Fox News, and more!
We’ve seen ups and downs and lots of people giving up the fight in California. San Diego County Gun Owners will continue to hold our ground and work hard every day to protect and restore our Second Amendment rights in San Diego and across the state. Gun owners are not alone. We are here to represent you and fight for you.
2021 – it’s been fun, but see you later! We’re ready for 2022! If you haven’t already, please consider joining as a member to support the amazing community here in San Diego County. We have an important election season coming up and it’s more important than ever for gun owners to be heard.
Together, We Will Win.

Gun confiscation has been the holy grail of the gun-control community for decades. It wasn’t until recently, the 2020 primaries, that it was openly admitted (remember Beto?) by Democrat politicians. But to what purpose? Would gun confiscation have any impact on public safety or violent crime?
If you’re a new shooter who is interested in an informal shooting experience, our Shooting Socials are a great way to dip your toe in the water!
For just $60/person, we can give you a safe, fun, safe, and educational first-time shooting experience. You will get:
