San Diego County Gun Owners Group Executive Director Michael Schwartz said Wednesday that NeverAgainCA members are misrepresenting a legal activity enjoyed by firearms enthusiasts.
“A ‘ghost gun’ is a pejorative, politically driven nickname for a firearm that has no serial number,” Schwartz said by email. “State law requires people who want to build any kind of firearm to apply for a serial number which registers that firearm with the state of California.”
