Have you heard???
A landmark ruling was issued today in the Miller v. Becerra lawsuit regarding California’s egregious assault weapon ban. Judge Benitez issued a permanent injunction against enforcement of the law.
“This is an average case about average guns used in average ways for average purposes,” the ruling said. “One is to be forgiven if one is persuaded by news media and others that the nation is awash with murderous AR-15 assault rifles. The facts, however, do not support this hyperbole, and facts matter.”
Important note: the ruling included a 30-day stay to give Attorney General Rob Bonta the opportunity to appeal. This means we can’t go modifying our rifles just yet.

On a personal note, I am so proud to be a part of this case and am humbled that we have so many members who get to share in this victory. I can promise you that SDCGO will continue to work hard to restore and defend our Second Amendment rights. This is one major step, but not the last.
