SDCGO supports YES on Recall
San Diego County Gun Owners (SDCGO), a political action committee (PAC) promoting Second Amendment rights, has announced its endorsement of a “yes” vote for the upcoming California gubernatorial recall election.
“We are not endorsing a candidate, but we are supporting a yes vote on removing the current governor,” said Schwartz, executive director, SDCGO. “We are encouraging everyone to commit to show up to vote and make sure everyone you know does the same.”
According to Schwartz, first-term Democratic Gov. Gavin Newsom is the most anti-Second Amendment governor the state has ever endured.
Reaching these 1 million tossup voters BEFORE they get their ballots is absolutely CRUCIAL to winning this Recall election. We are competing against Gavin Newsom’s false and misleading TV ads — but these personal contacts to voters can sway votes!
We had an absolute blast at our Summer Picnic last night at Mike’s BBQ in Escondido! Thank you to everyone who attended!
Another city passes the SDCGO initiative against HR127!
El Cajon City Council has joined Santee City Council and Oceanside City Council in unanimously denouncing the egregious anti-gun bill proposed by Rep. Sheila Lee (TX). This week, they passed a resolution to send a letter to Rep. Sara Jacobs and Rep. Darrell Issa urging them to vote NO on HR 127. Special thanks to Councilmembers Michelle Metschel and Phil Ortiz for working with SDCGO to introduce this important initiative.
If passed, HR 127 establishes a process for the licensing and registration of firearms, prohibits the possession of popular self-defense ammunition, prohibits normal capacity ammunition magazines, establishes a licensing system for the possession of firearms or ammunition, establishes a registration system for firearms, and establishes a publicly available database of all registered firearms.

Blog: The Case Against Bump Stocks Is About Much More Than Bump Stocks
In March of 2019, the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, and Firearms (ATF) took it upon itself to make a certain firearm accessory illegal to sell or possess under penalty of fine and or imprisonment. That accessory is the bump stock.
Not only is volunteering a great way to give back to San Diego County Gun Owners and the Second Amendment community in general, it’s super easy and fun. You spend a few hours at your local gun shop (admit it, you do that anyway!) and talk to people about how important it is to fight for your gun rights, and how SDCGO is accomplishing that.
Plus… we have an exciting new incentive program starting in 2021! Every shift for which you volunteer and work will earn you an entry into our quarterly drawing for A GUN!
Sign up for shifts today on our volunteer page. Check back often as we continue to add more dates.
We are excited for you to join us for our Second Amendment Celebration Dinner on Saturday, October 16, 2021! If you previously bought a ticket or table, the great news is that your seat or table is secured for the new date.
We still have room for more tables, so we are continuing to add more. If you or someone you know of anyone who would like to sponsor a table, please check out all the options at www.GunProm.com and know that the “early bird” specials will remain in place until ticket sales end on October 1.
Thank you all so much for your patience. Please contact us with any questions or concerns.
