She has over 30 years’ experience in the Sheriff’s department. In that time, she has not only worked to increase their budget so they can better perform the tasks they are responsible for, but most importantly, she has vastly improved the CCW program. As Undersheriff, she has worked diligently to develop the CCW process by adding funding, staff, and implementing procedures to make the process smoother. This has resulted in wait times for first appointments dropping from 20+ months to less than 3 months.

PRESS RELEASE: SDCGO Begins 7th Year, Announces New Membership Level
San Diego County Gun Owners (SDCGO), a political action committee (PAC) promoting Second Amendment rights in San Diego County, has marked the beginning of its seventh year with the launch of a new, $5,000-a-year membership called the Legacy Membership.
According to Michael Schwartz, SDCGO executive director, two SDCGO supporters recently stepped up to become Legacy members.
They included: Kali Key, LLC, a San Diego-based, firearms accessory manufacturer of drop-in compliance parts for California gun laws that convert semi-automatic AR-15s into bolt-action rifles; and Lonestar Firearm Defense, LLC, a Houston-based, veteran-owned, lawyer-operated legal defense membership organization that provides legal representation and education to individuals who may use a legal weapon in self-defense.
