ACTION ITEMS
Banning Raw Material for Home Manufactured Firearms. This week the San Diego County Board of Supervisors voted to make it impossible to home manufacture firearms by requiring a serial number of raw materials. They were specifically targeting 80% kits and they copied the ordinance the City of San Diego passed.
San Diego County Gun Owners is a plaintiff in a lawsuit against this regulation at the city level. You can read more about our lawsuit here: Fahr vs. San Diego
The regulation also includes a requirement to keep your firearms locked or inoperable unless you are wearing or touching the firearm. This regulation only applies to the unincorporated areas of San Diego County.
ACTION ITEM: On January 25th, the County Board of Supervisors will vote to make this regulation permanent. We need you to tell the Board that you oppose their regulation on home manufactured guns and firearms storage regulation. The best way to contact them right now is to send a polite and professional email to these three email addresses:
La Mesa Gun Storage Regulation. The City of La Mesa voted to draft a regulation for firearms storage. This regulation will be the same regulation the County and the City of San Diego passed. It will require all firearms in La Mesa be locked or inoperable unless the owner is wearing or touching the firearm. The City Council will vote on this item at a future meeting.
ACTION ITEM: Right now, we need you to email the mayor of La Mesa and ask him to oppose the regulation on firearms storage. Please ask him to think of La Mesa and to stop brining national issues like gun control to the city council.

Blog: Gun Confiscation, Could It Happen in America?
Gun confiscation has been the holy grail of the gun-control community for decades. It wasn’t until recently, the 2020 primaries, that it was openly admitted (remember Beto?) by Democrat politicians. But to what purpose? Would gun confiscation have any impact on public safety or violent crime?
