We Need You!
Last month, San Diego City Council passed “Eliminate Non-Serialized Untraceable Firearm (ENUF)” Ordinance outlawing non-serialized, unfinished frames and unfinished receivers, and non-serialized firearms within the City of San Diego. SDCGO CEO Wendy Hauffen was present to make a statement before the Council on behalf of SDCGO.
The vote passed 8-1, with SDCGO Endorsed City Councilmember Chris Cate being the lone “no” vote. Chris stated, “This law does nothing to make us safer, but what this law does do is turn all law abiding citizens in San Diego who own unfinished receivers into criminals overnight.”
Before the ordinance goes into effect, the Council will perform a second reading. This is where we need your help.
Please attend the City Council meeting this Tuesday, September 14 at 10am to encourage them to vote against the ENUF Ordinance.

SDCGO supports YES on Recall
San Diego County Gun Owners (SDCGO), a political action committee (PAC) promoting Second Amendment rights, has announced its endorsement of a “yes” vote for the upcoming California gubernatorial recall election.
“We are not endorsing a candidate, but we are supporting a yes vote on removing the current governor,” said Schwartz, executive director, SDCGO. “We are encouraging everyone to commit to show up to vote and make sure everyone you know does the same.”
According to Schwartz, first-term Democratic Gov. Gavin Newsom is the most anti-Second Amendment governor the state has ever endured.
Reaching these 1 million tossup voters BEFORE they get their ballots is absolutely CRUCIAL to winning this Recall election. We are competing against Gavin Newsom’s false and misleading TV ads — but these personal contacts to voters can sway votes!
We are excited for you to join us for our Second Amendment Celebration Dinner on Saturday, October 16, 2021! We’re sold out of individual tickets, and we’ve only got a handful of tables left to sell.
If you previously bought a ticket or table, the great news is that your seat or table is secured for the new date. If you have any questions about the status of your tickets, please email me at [email protected].

Blog: Biden Administration Says Nyet to Cheap Russian Ammo
The US Department of State has banned the importation of ammunition from Russia beginning on 7 September 2021. The ban will be in effect for at least twelve months. The ban can be lifted at any time after the twelve-month period at the discretion of the Executive Branch. To lift the ban the Executive Branch must certify to Congress that Russia has met certain conditions as prescribed in the Chemical and Biological Weapons Control and Warfare Elimination Act of 1991 (the CBW Act). It’s unlikely the Russians will make any attempt to meet the required conditions.
On Sunday, after our club’s 13th shooting social with SDCGO, I took the time to reflect on what happened over the past year. The full experience will be hard to describe in just a few paragraphs, but if I can share even a few important moments, it will be worth it.
Not only is volunteering a great way to give back to San Diego County Gun Owners and the Second Amendment community in general, it’s super easy and fun. You spend a few hours at your local gun shop (admit it, you do that anyway!) and talk to people about how important it is to fight for your gun rights, and how SDCGO is accomplishing that.
Plus… we have an exciting new incentive program starting in 2021! Every shift for which you volunteer and work will earn you an entry into our quarterly drawing for A GUN!
Sign up for shifts today on our volunteer page. Check back often as we continue to add more dates.
