Michael Schwartz, executive director of the San Diego County Gun Owners Political Action Committee, called the ruling a “huge victory for civil rights.”
“Since our inception, we have made the case that carrying a firearm outside of your home for self-defense is your right,” Schwartz said in a statement. “It is not a second-class right. It is not only for certain people.
“We look forward to all the positive impact this will have on public policy and the positive impact this will have on an individual’s ability to defend his or her life.”
