Just for new gun owners! #WhatTheGun
Did You Know…?
SDCGO goes through an extensive vetting process to decide which candidates get our endorsement and make it to our voter guide. It’s more important than ever to vote for the right people, and don’t vote for someone who is not endorsed.
Unlimited CCW Guns! Yes, It’s True!
ATTENTION! ATTENTION!
Ever since we helped make CCWs possible in San Diego County, SDCGO has continued to work closely with the Sheriff’s Department to provide the feedback they needed to ensure that the application process is smooth, efficient, and most of all, obtainable.
The biggest request we hear is… “How come I can only put 3 guns on my permit?” We’re here today to tell you…. ask no more! SDCGO went to bat for you and made it happen.
You can now put unlimited guns on your CCW permit!
We got the green light about 3 months ago, but as you can imagine, the Sheriff’s Department has been overwhelmed with new applications. They asked us to wait to make this announcement because they have been working around the clock to lessen the waiting time. If you would like to update your CCW immediately, please note that there is a wait, but that the clerks and investigators are working as hard as they can.
Keep in mind that you must qualify with each firearm (including live fire) during your 8-hour approved CCW course.
BEFORE or AFTER you take your 4 hour Safety Refresher Class
Safety certificates are valid for 90 days from the date of issue, and need to be uploaded upon completion of the class. Once you have submitted your renewal application, you are placed in a queue for an appointment. The Sheriff’s Department will reach out to you as soon as possible via phone call to schedule a day and time for you to come into the office. They appreciate your patience as they do their best to get through the list of applications as quickly as possible. Renewals are seen by appointment only.
Some of our good friends in the firearm industry are attending, supporting, and speaking at the 2nd Amendment Rally on October 24, 2020!
You can attend and support from the comfort of your own home. Visit www.2ndamendmentrally.com to see the full roster of more than 30 amazing guest speakers!
November 2020 General Election
Voter Guide!
We are immensely proud to present our November 2020 Voter Guide for San Diego’s municipal and county level offices! SDCGO vets candidates based on their Second Amendment views, their viability as a candidate for public office, and their character. Once they pass our test and our Advisory Board votes to endorse them, we compile a list, so you know who to vote for this November.
Reward these candidates with your vote, your donations, and your time by volunteering for their campaign. Most of all, make sure you tell everyone you know how important it is to vote for these candidates. Your Second Amendment future is counting on in.
A few points:
What About So-and-so? If they are running for city or county level offices in 2020 and you do not see them on our voter guide, it is safe to assume you should NOT vote for them. A lot of candidates were considered who did not earn SDCGO’s endorsement.
Your Voter Ballot. If you cannot verify that a pro Second Amendment organization has endorsed a candidate on your ballot…DO NOT VOTE FOR HIM/HER.Leave it blank. Do not support candidates who will not support your Second Amendment. Supporting the “lesser of two evils” and allowing Second Amendment issues to become low priority is how California got to be so bad. California will not change until we change. Step #1 is giving good candidates your support and not giving bad candidates the time of day.
Make this the election YOU made the difference. Help our candidates win so we can be even more effective restoring and preserving our Second Amendment rights.

Blog: CCW Lifestyle Series # 11 – Failing the Victim Selection Process
As legally armed citizens we train to always avoid getting into self-defense situations, remember you win every fight you avoid. Criminals tend to go through a process when selecting victims. The subject today is what we can do to ensure we fail the victim selection process.
