PRESS RELEASE: SDCGO Begins 7th Year, Announces New Membership Level

San Diego County Gun Owners PAC Begins 7th Year, Announces New Membership Level

Press Release

San Diego County Gun Owners (SDCGO), a political action committee (PAC) promoting Second Amendment rights in San Diego County, has marked the beginning of its seventh year with the launch of a new, $5,000-a-year membership called the Legacy Membership.

According to Michael Schwartz, SDCGO executive director, two SDCGO supporters recently stepped up to become Legacy members.

They included: Kali Key, LLC (https://kalikey.com/), a San Diego-based, firearms accessory manufacturer of drop-in compliance parts for California gun laws that convert semi-automatic AR-15s into bolt-action rifles; and Lonestar Firearm Defense, LLC (https://lonestarfirearmdefense.com/), a Houston-based, veteran-owned, lawyer-operated legal defense membership organization that provides legal representation and education to individuals who may use a legal weapon in self-defense.

“We are thrilled to welcome our first of many Legacy members,” Schwartz said. “We appreciate their support of SDCGO, which ensures a legacy of Second Amendment advocacy that will impact generations to come. I’m especially grateful to our first two Legacy members because they helped establish the Legacy membership benchmark.”

“I believe in defending freedom and our rights as stated in the U.S. Constitution,” said E. Allen Chandler, Jr. of Lonestar Firearm Defense. “I encourage everyone to join me in advocating for the Second Amendment by supporting San Diego County Gun Owners.”

“Kali Key is dedicated to helping San Diego County Gun Owners PAC. They are simply the most effective, most active group we have ever seen,” said Ascanio Carimati Di Carimate, founder, Kali Key, LLC. “The Legacy level membership is where all industry manufacturers should be. It will allow us to have a group that supports our rights for generations. People need to be able to defend their life and the only way to do that is to defend their legal rights. SDCGO does that every day.”

In addition to the Legacy Level, SDCGO’s other membership levels and donation levels include: “Patriot,” $100 annually; “Challenge,” $250 annually; “10-Ring,” $1,000 annually.  Membership dues allow SDCGO to continue to be the voice of the Second Amendment in San Diego and have an impact on local politics.

Founded in 2015, San Diego County Gun Owners is a registered political action committee (FPPC ID #1379388) and advocacy organization focused on organizing the gun industry and community and protecting the U.S. Constitution’s Second Amendment right to bear arms. Based on its membership size of over 3,000 individuals, SDCGO is considered San Diego’s largest registered PAC as well as civil rights organization. The PAC provides news and information on new gun laws and Second Amendment advocacy. Its sponsored events include gun safety classes, small gun shows, sporting clay shoots, social gatherings and pistol, rifle and shotgun experiences taught by professional instructors. SDCGO features a diverse and inclusive membership with representatives of the LGBT, Latino, African American, Asian and Pacific Islander communities. While every U.S. state has a Second Amendment PAC, along with several nationwide gun rights PACs, the SDCGO is believed to be the America’s first, strictly local, countywide Second Amendment advocacy organization.
